Santorini is part of the group of the Cyclades
Islands
and is located in the Aegean Sea
about 200 km southeast from Greece's mainland.
The Santorini (Thira) International Airport (IATA: JTR, ICAO: LGSR)
is the airport of the island and manages civil and military traffic. It is
small but much characteristic and accommodates seasonal tourist flights
(charter) coming from all over Europe and scheduled traffic managed from
Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines. The airport can therefore be used from heavy
liner which Boeing 757, 737 and Airbus A320 but also from the smaller Fokker
70 and ATR 72; moreover it is visited - in the summer season - from the
General Aviation tourist traffic.

The international Bari Palese Macchie Karol Wojtyła airport (IATA:
BRI, ICAO: LIBD) is the main regional airport and is situated 8 km
to the north-west of the center of Bari. It host 32.000
movements every year and about 3.000.000 of passengers per year. The main
European companies - but general aviation traffic too operate - connecting
national and international destinations
trough this airport.
